Zooted Chili Cheese Fries and Orgies (ZCFAO)

In the few months since starting Hexed Blood, I've learned that writers need to surround themselves with other writers. You always hear that if you're writing you should be reading and that still holds true. However, my biggest advice I could give is to surround yourself with other authors. It doesn't matter if they write the same genre as you, in fact, I feel it's even better if they don't. Talk with them and form a bond. Ask them questions, share scenes with them and bounce ideas off of them. Odds are, some of them have been there and can help you. Perhaps, you're able to help them in return.

Nearly a month ago I found a group of women who have changed my life for the better. Yes, they live in other states and yes, stranger danger is real. However! I could not have found a better group to share my book progress, my thoughts and questions, or parts of my life with. We root for each other, cry with each other and clearly, based on the title of this post and photo, we've got some smut writers in the mix and talk about things you wouldn't want your grandma to hear. It doesn't matter that I met them online, or that they live a bajillion miles away, I'm couldn't be happier to have them in my life and they inspire me everyday to be a better writer!
